JJ's "I Love Minions & Elmo" 2nd Birthday Party!! {in photos}

As promised I have a few photos to share from our JJ's 2nd birthday party.

 

JJ loves the movie Despicable Me & Elmo. So when planning his

 

big day I figured why not just combine the two themes? It actually worked

 

out perfectly!! The cake pretty much says it all!!

I am so very blessed to have such a loving, healthy, sweet, fun loving little

 

 boy in my life.... He makes my heart smile in so many ways!!

 

There is nothing I love more than putting together a birthday celebration for

 

 my children.... It creates special memories that last a lifetime. I take

 

 pride in making the cake and the favors!! I will have sources for the favors

JJ'S First Birthday!! {Little Man Mustache Bash}

I can not believe this day has come and gone already! I have been planning our son's first birthday party since January and what a party it was!! I have said it before and I'll say it again.... Pinterest is the single best invention EVER!! All my inspiration for this party came from this Pinterest board that started off as a "secret" board. It is such an excellent tool for planning a party without ruining the surprise with a regular Pintrest board! So this secret board was the best! Etsy is another source I can NOT live without! OMG. Almost all of the items for this party were purchase on Etsy! It all started with the invitation. I found it here and I could not have been more happy with it! I was able to personalize it right down to the bow. Amanda was so helpful and was willing to do anything I asked! It was just perfect! Thank you Amanda!! There are so many other details that I will share, but for right now I am so excited to share these pictures! Enjoy!

JJ's Nursery Update....

 

 

 

I did some small DIY projects in JJ's nursery....

The framed letter "J" is a wood letter I picked up at Micheal's and painted red. The cute blue frame I picked up at Home Goods on the sale rack for $7.99!! A STEAL! I had other intentions for it, but when I saw how it matched perfectly with the wall color and bedding I knew exactly what I was going to use it for. The chevron piece with the smaller letter "J" (also from Micheal's, painted yellow) is just an 8x10 canvas. My chevron pattern is a bit off, but I did it free hand so not too shabby if you ask me! The other 8x10 canvas I painted blue and painted JJ's hand prints on it. Getting him to Not put his hands in his mouth with the paint was probably the most challenging part, but the most fun part of the whole project.... I found the inspiration here.
